October 2023

At YAIPak Outreach everything starts with the Extravagant Love of Christ. God pursues each one of us to redefine our identity, restore our dignity, and remind us how deeply we are loved. With a focus on women, children and veterans, we are witnessing that power of Extravagant Love each day. Our warehouse for donation drop offs and volunteer hours is located at 1255 Paradise Hill Rd. We are open for donations and volunteers on Mondays from 9am to 12pm, Wednesdays from 12 to 2pm, and Thursdays from 5 to 8pm.

YAIPak Outreach in the Community

Once a month we support Shower Love at Loaves And Fishes. While we see many of the same faces, we’ve been meeting a lot of new ones too.

So many have fallen on hard times. Rent increases causing homelessness or having to find another place to live. It’s traumatic being evicted and finding yourself sleeping in your car. The cost of everything has increased while incomes are staying the same.

But WOW, can we tell you their joy when those shoes you donated found their feet?! What might seem worn out to you is almost new to them. So many men have lost weight from financial difficulties and higher costs that the smaller sizes are greatest in demand. When they find a belt to help keep larger-waisted pants up, it creates excitement!

We know that word gets around that YAIPak has resources. It’s important to remind everyone that OUR COMMUNITY is our BIGGEST resource. People helping people.

Keep donating! The need is greater than ever, and we remain indebted to you for your kindness.

We know November may seem far off from the heat of Summer, but it will be here before we know it! Go ahead and open your calendars and SAVE THE DATE now!

We are so excited to be hosting this year's Thanksgiving of Hope banquet at The Emerald Clarksville. It's going to a great night! We have lots of exciting updates and announcements for the future.

We hope you will join us.

It's almost time for our annual Operation Turkey Drop!

We absolutely love any opportunity to get involved in our community especially when we have the amazing chance to get to know a Veteran! Each year we set a goal that every Veteran near us and involved in the Veteran organizations we serve receive Thanksgiving dinner! What an amazing thing to be able to foster family around the dinner table and reconnect loved ones as we think about all we have to be thankful for!

You can get involved and change a life. Please see the graphic above and check out how you can help a Veteran in need!!

Your Generosity at Work

It was AMAZING !!!!! And YOU made it that way!!!!

Our 1st ever FALL 4 ALL!!!!

Saturday was a full day for YAIPak Outreach. Not only did we have supplies headed down to Men Of Valor, but we also loaded up Break-Thru Tennessee to meet the needs of families at the Apollo Middle School.

Here in our own backyard, we felt it was vital to help our neighbors during these economic challenges. We had just over 300 cars and an estimated 1100 people visit Paradise. Our neighbors received clothing for the whole family, groceries to stock their cabinets, special toys, household goods, and fresh cooked food from our own Grub Squad.

We had some amazing vendors, such as the Angel Closet, the Hope Center, Loaves And Fishes, Texas Roadhouse, Matthew Walker Clinic, Diamond Ministries, Chance at Change, Kiwanis Club, and at least five churches represented. We want to thank our neighbors for their patience with the traffic. We believe what we learned today will make it bigger and better next year.

YAI!!!! We loved serving you!

MEET CHRISSY BRIGHT

But we call her Chris. And our founder calls her “my Chris." Chris is our YAIPak Outreach Administrative Director... and our friend! Chris leads Project Foster Hope with a dynamic team that she has empowered and developed. Chris and her team see countless foster families who come through the “Rylee Room“ Boutique for a beautiful shopping experience. She has an incredible knowledge of the inner workings of accounting. And with years of experience behind her, she is now offering her talents through serving at YAIPak Outreach. Chris is married to Jeff Bright. She is very dedicated to her family and has a deep love for spending time with them while enjoying extra events with the grandchildren. Those that know Chris in the business world will always talk about “what an asset she is. She is irreplaceable.” YAIPak Outreach thrives because we have good people in place and Chris is an anchor for us all. Through our challenges, our growth, celebrating victories, and working through difficult situations, Chris always offers sound advice. Words cannot express our gratitude in that she would choose us. She is definitely not hiding her talents under a bushel. She shines bright at YAIPak Outreach, and all that she represents is the essence of who we are. Thank you Chris for being on this exciting journey with us. We love you and are excited to serve with you. ~YAI Team
